Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and RAM Sales Results Are Reported
Recently, FCA US revealed that the company sold 161,477 vehicles during the month of July, a slight dip compared to last year that can be attributed to the company continues to reduce the volume of sales to the daily rental market. Of particular note, three models — the Chrysler Pacifica, Jeep Compass and RAM ProMaster City — recorded their best July sales performances.
The Chrysler Pacifica, the most-awarded minivan in both 2016 and 2017, earned a 5 percent gain to post the vehicle's best-ever July sales, and sales of the Chrysler 300 leaped 31 percent over July 2016's results.
There were three Jeep® models that earned sales increases in year-over-year comparisons. The Jeep Grand Cherokee realized its best July sales performance since 2005, the Jeep Compass recorded its best July sales ever and the Jeep Wrangler — the most capable and recognizable vehicle in the world — also registered a sales increase compared to last July.
Four Dodge vehicles posted sales gains for July. Both the Journey and the Viper earned sales increases over July 2016, while the Durango model scored its best July sales results since 2011 and the Charger gained a 9 percent improvement.
RAM retail truck sales improved 7 percent for the month, and the RAM ProMaster City van delivered the vehicle's best-ever July sales results.
FCA vehicles continue to rack up honors, as the Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Challenger and Chrysler Pacifica models all recently received awards and the Chrysler and RAM brands both made gains in appeal and quality surveys.
